WHO says delta Covid variant has now spread to 80 countries and it keeps mutating The delta variant has spread to more than 80 countries worldwide. Delta now makes up 10% of new cases in the U.S., up from 6% last week. The WHO added a new variant called lambda to its list of variants of interest. I'm hoping my vaccination will protect me from these spreading mutations.
